Who are we	We are an independent telecommunication consultancy and training company, established in 1997 and specialising in the provision of consultancy, training and project management services to all areas of commerce and industry, although specialising within the hotel sector. The work we undertake ranges from the writing of telecommunications strategy reports and technical specifications, through to the selection of appropriate technological systems, and the project management of the selected systems' installation. We are able to undertake any aspect of Information Technology strategic studies, either using our own resources, or by using the resources of the many other organisations and individuals with whom we have formal associate agreements.
What is our expertise	Our experience encompasses the following areas:-  Strategic Policy Studies. Product and Supplier selection. Project Management. Technological and Cost Audits. System Usage and Telephone Technique Training. Outsourcing and Facilities Management studies. We are conversant with all of the UK's statutory telecommunications regulations, the Managing Director, Derek Wood, has 25 years of experience within the telecommunications industry of which for the past 14 years he has been deeply involved with independent hotel telecommunication consultancy. He has extensive personal experience of most aspects of telecommunications consultancy, and is a member of the TMA. All our consultants are bound by the TMA Telecommunications Consultants' Code of Practice.   He is regularly asked to speak at leading Hotel Telecommunication conferences across Europe and in the United States of America, and is considered to be one of the UK's leading consultants in this field. Although Derek Wood Associates is still a relatively young company, because its consultants are all ex telecommunications managers, it is able to offer the practical experience generally only found in much larger organisations. Because it is relatively small the Company is able to control its overheads allowing it to offer all the advantages of a larger organisation, whilst maintaining its fees at extremely competitive levels.
What are our terms	We normally undertake projects on an hourly or daily fee basis, but we are also willing to negotiate fixed price contracts. Some of our clients have opted to use our services under a regular, contracted service arrangement.
Where do we operate	We currently operate from offices in Bristol and are well positioned to serve companies geographically dispersed throughout the UK, as well as on a global basis.
